Website registration to Vietnamese authorities

You have to register a website with the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade to do online business after your website have been completed with all structure, features and information under the business plan, and operated at the domain name address registered and before these websites officially provide the users with services.

Step 1: Register the account
To register a website in Vietnam, you will create an account on the website www.online.gov.vn.
Inputting all the required information and sending it to complete this step.

Step 2: Confirm the account
After 3 days, you will know result whether the account is accepted or not.
If not, you need to back to step 1 to fulfil the missing information or correct the wrong one to register a website.

Step 3: Declare the services of website
Use your account provided in the step 2 to login again to the website online.gov.vn.
After choosing the category (E-commerce website, E-commerce trading floor, Online promotion website,…) that your website belongs to be registered under Decree No. 52/2013/ND-CP, you will fill out the information and upload the Business Registration Certificate (if organization) or ID (if person) to register a website.

Step 4: Examine the dossier
Time to examine dossier as follows:
- E-commerce website: 3 days
- Website to provide e-commerce services: 7 days
Through registered email, you will know whether the dossier is approved or rejected, what you should amend and re-declare.

Step 5: Approve the dossier
If your dossier is accepted, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will send you the link via email for attaching to the symbol in the footage of the website.
You need to do this step within 3-5 days from the date of email receipt.
